Parish Precept

This year Wiltshire Council will issue revised tax base figures due to changes in parish boundaries. As a result, we in Netherhampton will notice an increase against the “Parish” line of our Council Tax bills.

The Parish Council has sought to keep the parish precept to a minimum by setting a budget for the forthcoming year which will only cover basic expenditure for necessary maintenance of the village landscape and facilities. The increase will be approximately £8 for the year on a band D property.

Although we appreciate that any increase is unwelcome, our precept is still very low compared to that of neighbouring parishes and this section of the tax has not been increased for four years in Netherhampton.

If you have any questions about this please feel free to accost a councillor or email us at netherhamptonpc@hotmail.co.uk
